The Nickel Consortia has been created by the Nickel Institute to help companies getting along with REACH obligations.

On this website, you will find all the information needed about REACH, SIEFs, how to access the data required for REACH, and how to deal with it.

There are 3 different Consortia including Nickel Metal and some Nickel inorganic compounds. You will find more information about Nickel Consortia.

As a SIEF Member, you will find more specific information and documents about SIEF.

Please also refer to the Nickel Institute website for technical information about the health, safety and environmental aspects of Nickel and Nickel substances.

From May 2010 until November 2010: Individual registration for Ni Sulphate and Ni Metal
July 2010: Registration of Ni Oxide, Ni Subsulfide and Ni Dihydroxide by the LR
From July 2010 until November 2010: Individual registration for Ni Oxide, Ni Subsulfide and Ni Dihydroxide
September 2010: Registration of remaining files by the LR
From October 2010 until November 30^th 2010: Individual registrations for remaining substances

Although the agreement for Letter of Access is available since a few months, the Nickel REACH Consortia have decided to amend this agreement to ensure better compliance with REACH and to promote a good product stewardship.

Early REACH Registration of Nickel Metal and Nickel Sulphate

This first week of April, the Nickel Institute announced the successful REACH registration of Nickel Metal and Nickel Sulphate, eight months before the registration deadline.
